It’s been a month I join this company - 7-11 HQ. So far I’m happy at this new place. Compare to previous company. Ops, I should not talk about the past. Let’s put the past aside. But it’s hard for me to forget all bad experience there. Enough about that company because I try very hard not to mention and remember anything about my past. Enough!! Let me just tell the happy part. Started my new job on 6 June 2011 after less than a week of holiday + fever. Nice package for my holiday.

Post sebagai IT Executive di Human Resource Department, bunyinya begitu senang. Tetapi tanggungjawab dan amanah yg perlu di pikul amatlah berat. No more programming and coding that make my life miserable. Previously, I’m the vendor who had to handle all the ‘kerenah’ of end user. But now it turns upside down. Now I’m the end user who have to give headache to the vendorS (with S yaa!! coz more than 3 vendors).

Aku pernah cakap dulu, tak kisah la keja teruk tapi environment terbaek. Or vice versa, it is ok for me. If both is really bad, semangat nk kerja terus hilang. Trust me. Happen to me before. AGAIN!!!!!

Environment kat tempat baru ni memang best sangat ngan staff yang ramai n cam2 ragam so semangat nk bergaul tu xder la limit sgt. Staff yang friendly no matter your position. At least something yang ‘hidup’ la time datang kerja n wat kerja. J.

About my tasks, so far sebulan ni my superior just give me a chance to test all the systems and give some idea or opinion or critics based on my experience developing system. Such a tricky and challenging tasks because I have to use all my knowledge and experience to take a look of those systems and find any lack in each system. To be franks, there are a lot of errors and there’s a lot of improvement to make those systems perform very well. Thank God, I am not the one who will solve those problems and enhancements. Just like my superior said,

Syam, we just report all the problems to vendors. Let them solve by themselves. We just test and report. That’s all.

Trust me work as a user and deal with vendor is not as easy as u think. You have to understand and realize that not everything that u request is FOC. In my field, even u ask to change the form, it costs a lot. Ni laie la kalo request nk tukar layout or screen design. Aku dah pernah berada di situasi di kedua2 belah pihak. You cannot simply request here and there because every changes required a lot of thing. Enough said, “no money no talk”.

To be frank, I’m happy with my current work and my current life. Alhamdulillah after a long wait, I can smile and happy like other people.
